Individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid experienced COVID-19 at disproportionately higher rates when compared to Medicare-only beneficiaries, and faced barriers to accessing vaccination. This blog features efforts by providers and health plans to connect hard-to-reach individuals with COVID-19 vaccinations by addressing barriers such as complex health care issues, chronic conditions, and unmet social risk factors.
